I keep getting billed for a service that I canceled in April. I have called three times to get this adjusted and I did get a refund for some but they still keep billing me.

I have joined many gyms and workout facilities. I think if it as my donation financially simply because I never go and just give them my money. It has taken almost a year but back in January I committed and I think I have gone more times since then then I have been to a gym in total (even including bringing the kids for swim lessons) the people and trainers are so amazing and through Corona have been there more for everyone.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT!!

You can find this model of workout at the $10 gyms and they will let you cancel if you have a problem in your life!!!! This place makes you jump through literal hoops to cancel!!! My son-in-law's mother was in a horrible bike accident the week after she signed up to become a bold member. She had to stay in the hospital for over a week and had broken several bones and had almost punctured her lung, but the only option they gave her was to freeze her account for 2 months. She had to threaten them with a lawsuit before they would let her get out of her "contract". This is a horrible company!! There are some really nice trainers, but all in all the company as a whole is terrible unless your life is perfect and you never have any problems and everyday is glitter and rainbows.

I was signed up for a 12 month contract from December 2017 to December 2018. I called in march of 2019 and told them to cancel my membership. I had called in a timely manner, was up to date with payments And was told my account was cancelled. I noticed in April 2019 and May 2019 they still took out payments so I cancelled my card, they then called and demanded I give them my card number and I had to pay $5.00 before they Could do anything. My contract was over, I only attended a few classes until they cancelled the 7:30am class (the only one I could attend) But I continued to fulfill my contract, paid all my money and I am still having issues. They turned me over to collections and now say I owe around $294.00. Worst company ever! Leah Broadwater 181 Bennett Road Robeline, LA 71469

Unable to cancel/customer service is terrible

I've tried to cancel for months and was told a note was needed from my doctor or I had to live in a location where CG wasn't offered within a certain mile radius. They offered to freeze my account for $5/month. They've continued to charge my card although I canceled the initial card I started CG with and received a replacement. My bank placed a stop payment yet I'm charged every month because CG is very creative in the name used when submitting the payment. CG's customer service didn't care why I wanted to cancel, customer service kept repeating it was a contract and I was obligated regardless. I will NEVER recommend CG to anyone again!!!!!

Membership Model is a Scam

Camp Gladiator is a really, really awful company. The workouts are challenging and the trainers are generally pretty good, but they have the absolute worst customer service. I had tons of administrative issues starting my membership; they often post workouts and no trainer shows up; and the Bold week system is unnecessarily confusing. When I closed my account, they kept charging me a monthly fee and when I brought it to their attention, they refused to issue a refund. Their customer service reps are smug and totally unhelpful. I just don't see how they stay in business. I would recommend avoiding them at all costs -- there are other bootcamp style workouts available that don't come with heavy doses of self-righteousness and mean-girl cliques.

Horrible Customer service and support

Don't waste your money. I have been a member since Oct 2016.

I signed up for 12 months so I am stuck until Oct 2017. Very unresponsive or simply just avoid your issues or concerns as a paying customer. Don't get me wrong, I think the actual working out is pretty good but the management, leadership and IT of the company are horrible. The only thing that doesn't seem to have a problem is my automatic payment every month.

That seems to be working fine, no issues there! They have outdoor locations at schools, businesses, parks, churches, etc.. But it seems as if they get kicked out from one location and have to move to another location. However they don't update the website to reflect the current accurate locations.

So you drive to workout location A only to realize that when you pull up it has been moved to location B. This is after a few FB messages, texts and phones that you find this information out. So you waste time, gas and money. There is a reason why there are so many 1 star ratings.

When I voice my opinion some people take it as complaining. But I believe that if something is wrong then something should be said to address the issue. Otherwise everybody thinks that it is running perfect and there are no issues. I also believe that when we voice our opinions to the trainers, that is where it stops and nothing is done about it, nothing is addressed with higher management, nothing is passed on at meetings because the problem persists.

Even when I email the main office in Austin, either I don’t get a reply or I get a generic reply that doesn’t address the issue for the email in the 1st place. Prime example is right now: This is going on the 4th day and I still have yet to receive a call back from my voicemails even though the recording says we will call you with 24 hours. I have had a very unpleased experience with CG since I started and cannot wait for it to end. The workouts are good, Jose, Bridget, Todd, Matt, etc… have all been great.

Just the business side of the house is truly lacking. I brought up the suggestion that during bold week to put the bold schedule on the very front page of the website at the top that says “Bold Schedule click here”. I received feedback such as “that is a great idea” but yet nothing has changed and in order for us to find bold week info we have to dig deep into the webpage to find it or rely on the trainer to send it to us. That was over 7 months ago.

I also brought up the issue that the filters on the website and app do not work correctly when clicking on the day then further filtering on the time and to this day they are still wrong. And I just checked again during the process of writing this email and they are still wrong. I received responses such as “we are aware of that” and “yes, we know”. OK, that’s the answer?

No fix intended. Your HQ office is in Austin TX with a ton a techies available. That has been over 6 months ago. I also brought up the issue about the check-in error we receive when we do back to back classes.

I received a reply from Camp Gladiator on Oct 24, 2016 stating that IT needs to change that and yet that still doesn’t work either. I am paying $62 for me and $35 for spouse. That is $97 month x 12 = $1164 a year. I am military.

I can go to any gym on any base for free in San Antonio and anywhere in the country if I am traveling. Lackland alone has 7 gyms. Each gym offers a number of classes for free or as low as $2-$3 each. We can join Planet Fitness for $10 a month being military with no contract.

We can upgrade to $20 a month for the elite all-inclusive package. We can join Golds Gym for $49 enrollment fee and $32 a month.

We can join the YMCA for $52 a month as 2 people family membership. My point being is that outdoor fitness or gym memberships are a dime a dozen around here and you should appreciate our business (Money).

Uhh, No. If you are going to provide a business service different than a gym, you should provide that service.

Otherwise there is no point. I would be pissed if they changed locations without notifying people.

Then join a gym! With no personal trainer...that's the entire idea...is to join CG with A PERSONAL TRAINER TO HELP HOLD YOU ACCOUNTABLE!

IT TAKES AN ACT OF GOD TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had surgery on my knee and foot a couple months ago and yes it was nice they let me freeze my membership for $5 a month (it shouldn't have cost to freeze). I have personal & medical reason I need to cancel my membership now and have tried but I have been told I need a doctors not and fill out the cancellation form.

I filled out he form and put my personal financial reasons but I had not got my doctors note. They still insist I have a doctors note, which I don't feel they have a right to. I'm not in school trying to get out of gym class. They don't answer their phone so I have not been able to talk to anyone.

Everything has been by email. Don't get me wrong about the program, I loved my trainer she was awesome and I loved the classes but I can't do this anymore with the issues I have going on. If this cancellation thing had not been such a problem I would have looked into this again in the future but I certainly will not now.

AND NO WHERE when you sign up do they have anything about their cancellation policies. No one tells you nor can you find it anywhere on their website.

Cancellation Process/ Poor Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Due to my health, I no longer attend CG and haven't for some time. Because of these changes, I needed to cancel my account.

I requested help through their customer service team since there's no where online to do so and in the time it took a customer service rep to respond to me. When they finally responded, I was offered a $5 freeze fee every month for the next 3 months (which my account ended in less than 3...) When I again, explained that I simply wanted to cancel my account. They not only required that I fill out an entire cancellation form (absolutely ridiculous), but they also demanded proof from a doctor. So to say that I'm unbelievably disappointed in Camp Gladiator is an understatement.

No, I did not provide a doctor's note to the customer service rep on the other end of the computer. The fact that I was even asked to prove my health issues to CG is not only a violation of my privacy and an infringement upon my dignity as their customer, but it also proves that Camp Gladiator is like every other "health" initiative out there.

They're not dedicated to fitness. They're dedicated to squeezing every last drop of money out of desperate people all under the guise of "better together." As a former dedicated member of Lifetime Gym, I am thrilled to be leaving a company like CG that makes it absurdly difficult to cancel a membership.

I am unable to attend due to my work schedule. The only way you can cancel I feel like is if you die! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

I have the same issue and their customer service is not only horrible but extremely hard to contact! INSANE!!

I would not recommend that any one use their credit card to signup with this company. If you need to cancel due to health or financial issues they will continue charging your card.

I have not participated in any activities since April of 2018, due to back issues I could no longer continue the exercises.

I've written and called the company. Zero rating

I agree their cancellation process is TRASH. I sent in the request and form to cancel my membership and I was informed that they don't accept the online form....

My trainer signed me up for bold and my parents sign me up for the 4 week program as an early program. She didn't have my mom's consent to run her and told me to contact customer service and to show up at bold week today at camp.

She aid last night she couldn't assist me with finding the number to customer sevice told me sorry, I should my have ordered the t shirt and she was headed to bed. My mom put a stop payment. I'm not doing cg for the next 6 months. I had seen no results in 4 weeks I was with it and neither had my friend who is in shape, but wants to gain weight.

They rush u through each exercise not trying to see if ur doing it the way and have u out in thunderstorms getting soaked and wind whipping at u..omg, just no.

I thought I'd be on my way to my beach body for the end of June by now and even changed my diet. Its back to the gym for me.

Poor customer service

I signed up when my Texas Boot Camp abruptly became Camp Gladiator, no real advance notice, just rumors shared with us by another trainer. I lost my trainer, as TBC broke their contact with her, I was very disappointed about that, but I went ahead and signed up for CG by phone with a credit card. I went once, it was ok. The 2nd night it was raining, and I was told by someone when I got there that it was canceled. At some point I realized I had a coupon for a free month from my former TBC director, who was now with CG, but when I attempted to get a promo code, he would not do it. By that time, after some thought, I had decided to cancel. I contacted the corporate office, and they refused to allow me to cancel. The local director then offered me the promo code for the free month too, after initially teling me no. I regretted joining, told them I had changed my mind, they were totally convinced I had contracted with them for a year. I had signed up by phone, agreed to no terms and conditions, though they insisted I had. I called my credit card company and canceled the transaction, and close that credit card account so they they could no longer use it. I would never sign up with them again, simply because of the poor customer service and the attitude they had over the phone, plus the fact they weren't going to let me have the free month till after I contacted the corporate office. The corporate office totally acted like I owed them, they weren't kind about it at all. A good business practice would have been to say no problem, we understand and we will refund you and hope to see you in the future. If that had happened, maybe I'd have considered them again at some point, but the way they handled it, I'll never join again, and I do really enjoy an outdoor boot camp.

They were great for the summer, not so much for cold winters or rainy days unless you favor working out indoors. I am going through a similar issue.

I have moved back to school and I can no longer go to meet ups as my main focus is school. I don't have a car as I got into an accident. Art supplies are not cheep either. I sent them my cancellation forms and they said they got them.

Then they ask me for paper work as to where I am moving to. I would not like to give my personal information out to them and I have no clue what else they would want from me.

Right now I am currently working with my bank to get them off my card so they don't siphon my dry. Hopefully they can accommodate me or I will be paying for classes I simply cannot go or get to.

Unsatisfied client

I am in my first month with camp gladiator, an am not a happy camper, first off I was recruited by a trainer and my understanding is that it belonged to her, well recently they terminated her contract with the company without explanation and have made several false excuses why. When we did meet up for camp we were told by the trainer that ran it that day that if we were unsatisfied with the situation that happened that we could cancel with no problems, will let me tell you they are back peddling and make up all kinds of excuses to try and keep us locked in to their contract. I call this an unethical business dealing and will fight my cancellation of contract. Will never sign up for a company like this again
